Our journey began when our founders, Dakota and Mahli, were just little tackers. Inspired by our grandfather “Pop Bazza” who was a part of the furniture within the local Basketball community for decades, contributing thousands of hours of his own time, including as a Junior Coach, Committee Member, Sponsor and the ‘DJ’ for the local Big V games. 

Basketball has been a part of our lives for as long as either of us can remember. It makes up the vast majority of our core memories as kids, and hopefully it’s clear, it’s something we’re both super passionate about.

We’ve played a lot of Basketball in our time, from “Mini Ball”, to under 10’s, to finally scoring in the under 12’s (though, we all know Dakota could still tell you how many points he scored in under 10’s!), to school teams, rep teams, basketball tournaments and camps around the country, and everything in between, to now playing in the local social comp, as Dakota’s shoulders can’t quite keep up with the rigours of top level competitive basketball. Heck, Fantasy Basketball is one of our favourite hobbies today! We live and breathe basketball. We always have, and always will.

In 2013, Dakota & Mahli decided they’d simply had enough of ordering poor quality uniforms online. Another set had shown up and were simply not up to scratch. It was time to do something about it.  After a gruelling year working with different manufacturers, sampling more fabrics than we care to count, and making sure everything was simply perfect, Jersey World was born.

We started out small, designing uniforms on an ancient laptop, packaging uniforms in the garage, and heading down to the local post office to ship them off. We’d struggle to fit the amount of orders we get today in the boot, and we certainly couldn’t design them on that old laptop we had, but we’re still the same small family business, who live and love Basketball, as we’ve always been.

Our mission is simple: To provide top quality uniforms, paired with the best customer service in the industry. Thanks to the amazing people who have purchased our uniforms along the way, we get to roll out of bed with a smile on our face every day, ready to help people look great on the Basketball Court. What more could we ask for?
